August Class Highlights




NEW Community Social Groups – Join the Fun! 
We’re excited to launch our brand-new community social groups beginning this August! These gatherings are held outside of Senior Center hours and offer a chance to unwind, connect and enjoy time with friends in a relaxed setting. 
 Breakfast Club 

Kick off your weekend with great conversation and a delicious meal! Kate Gray, Director of the Point Defiance ~ Ruston Senior Center, will host the inaugural Breakfast Club at The Club House (6501 6th Avenue) on Saturday, August 9 at 10:00 a.m. 

Prime Time Hop 
Join Ron Yaden for an afternoon of camaraderie and craft beverages at Peaks and Pints (3816 N. 26th St. B, Proctor District) on Thursday, August 21 at 3:30 p.m. 
 
A third social group will launch in September—stay tuned for details! 
 
RSVP Required 
Please register in advance so we can inform the venue of our group size. Each guest will cover their own meal or drinks (going Dutch). 
We hope to see you there! 
 
Sing-Along with the Puget Sounds   
Singing!  Music History!  Fun! 
Tuesdays August 5 and 19, 1-2:30 pm 
 
Women's Group - Car Mechanic Presentation 
The Women's Group will have an experienced mechanic come and talk about cars so you can make informed decisions about bringing your car in to a mechanic.

Doggy Manners Class with Kathy Weaver 
Learn a training method called 'lure and reward'.  
August 8, 15, 22, September 5, 12, 26. 4-6pm. 6 week class; 1st class only humans. 
Please register to attend. You must be able to attend all 6 classes.  Donations requested. 
 
Bingo is twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays.  Come and win some prizes!
