AARP Tax Preparation is looking for volunteers to help prepare taxes in 2025. Training and certification is provided. If you are interested, please call the Senior Center at (253) 756-0601 and provide your name and contact information. You will be contacted by one of the AARP Supervisors.

Attorney Liz Johnson along with Stephanie Prosser and Zach Entwistle will be at the Center on Tuesday, September 24, at 11:00 a.m. They will discuss home maintenance, do it yourself, checklists for maintenance, avoiding scams if you use a professional, how to get apples to apples comparisons, and then maximizing your home value if you sell.

Beacon’s Olympic Games
September 27th at 9:00am
Sign up to compete in Beacon’s Olympic Games. There will be competition in the following activities: Spades, Beanbag Toss, Darts, Pool, and Beachball Volleyball! The Olympic Ceremony will be held at 11am, complete with Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals for each category.

Happy fall y’all!! Just a friendly reminder that The Lighthouse Activity Center will be closed on Monday the 2nd of September in observance of Labor Day. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday the 3rd of September. Our calendar is packed full of our regular program activities this month as well as a couple of special events.
